Request for Input: On a priority basis, I am working the old cards that are disintegrating or have damaged buttons due to inadequate segregation. I have come to one card that is different than the rest. Specifically, my grandmother who kept almost everything in her head with few card annotations, marked this card with the comment that "These buttons are very old". There is no basis or other information on the card but, knowing my grandmother very well, she certainly believed this to be true. I need some advice on how to approach the remounting process for these buttons since I do not want to do any harm or separate buttons that should be kept together. Most of the buttons appear to be MOP or MOP in metal. Some appear to be glass in metal. I have scanned the card and broken down the scans into individual sections for detail views. I would very much appreciate advice on how to remount these buttons and whether I should try to salvage the corroded buttons or toss them. The following links show the individual sections of the card in question. The numbers on the card are my arbitrary system for keeping track. Q&A 3-4 is a button that has a shank design that I have not seen before and I am curious if it has a special name.
